About Harvey Nash
Harvey Nash is a leading global provider of technology and talent solutions, equipped with a unique network that realises the potential when people and technology meet.
For over three decades, they’ve been helping clients solve broad and complex problems, building and scaling their technology and digital capability.
As a people-focused business, one of its company values is ‘Human.’
Harvey Nash partnered with Victoria to help their team discover how they could better understand and engage with the Deaf community, and create a more inclusive environment for everyone.
Harvey Nash wanted to raise awareness around accessibility and disability inclusion within their organisation.
As part of a broader diversity and inclusion strategy, the team sought ways to increase Deaf awareness and equip employees with the knowledge and confidence to communicate inclusively.
They wanted to go beyond compliance and deliver something that felt authentic to their culture, building both empathy and practical communication skills for everyday interactions.
Victoria collaborated with Harvey Nash to design a bespoke learning journey that included:
- A 10-week British Sign Language (BSL) programme, supporting a selected group of colleagues to build foundational BSL and Deaf awareness skills.
- A series of Power Hours (Lunch & Learn sessions) for the wider team, bite-sized, engaging training sessions designed to raise awareness and spark curiosity across their global workforce.
These sessions gave employees time to pause, learn, and reflect during their busy workdays, helping to embed inclusion into the company culture
“It was incredibly easy. They delivered what was agreed, and so much more, and always showed dedication and professionalism.”
— Megan Johnson, D&I and Employee Experience Coordinator, Harvey Nash
“The response from the shorter session they did for us, the Power Hours was just amazing. Attendees were so engaged; they got completely involved in learning to sign! Our teams have asked for more sessions like that.”
— Megan Johnson
“The 10-week BSL Program was a real education piece, and they did just that; educated us, and those lucky enough to be included in the course came away with a better understanding of the challenges deaf people face and the ability to now communicate with them using a basic level of BSL.”
— Megan Johnson
“The positive feedback we received from colleagues about the course was a real eye-opener for us: we realised Power Hours was the perfect platform to offer more topics on diversity and inclusion.”
— Megan Johnson
“It’s been an honour to work with Victoria, and I can’t fault her … she’s brilliant! You can see that she wants to make a difference and stay true to her goal of changing the world for deaf people. The work she’s doing is just incredible.”
— Megan Johnson
